Dorset Buttons

One of my latest crafty adventures is Dorset button making. If you visit my Etsy shop you'll see a series of hair clips decorated with these buttons. Dorset button making was a flourishing industry before the button making machines took over around 1850....

Etsy Etsy Etsy

After a long preparation, *akka design* is on Etsy ! There aren't many things yet, and a lot of work needs to be done to improve it, but here we go!I'll be posting soon about the products and other Etsy related things.

Interdependence: the Tree Project

The International Fiber Collaborative organized this community project called Interdependence . Over 7,000 textile leaves arrived from all over the world to contribute to the making of this full size tree that was exhibited in April. You can browse pictures...

Random screeprinting #2

Another experiment from Liz Nilsson 's screenprinting workshop. I was trying to use in a different way the screen with circles I had prepared for this design, and somehow the mesh got blocked so I got these 'faulty' print with some not printed spots....
